Dags att betala till Nordic

31 MAR 2011 13:58
Nordic Open meddelar att tävlingen är överbokad men att bara 80 har betalat hittills. Så om du vill vara med men inte har betalat är det verkligen hög tid nu.

Så här skriver Mads Syndergaard, arrangören:

Dear Nordic Open registrant,

With about 150 pilots registered on the website, and only 125 places in the event, some pilots are inevitably going to be disappointed. As this is written some 80 pilots have already secured their place in the event, by submitting the registration fee (see the Menu link "The Registration process" on the website for details about payments). At this stage I'd like to remind you that there's a strict "first come/first served policy" in place for the Nordic Open 2011 - we did have 90 places reserved for Nordic pilots, but their deadline expired on March 16th. At present it is thus a free-for-all process, and if you KNOW that you want to be part of this I strongly suggest you get the confirmation out of the way. You'll also be helping us by letting us know for sure if you're coming or not. If you pay later than April 16th we'll have to charge you an extra 20EUR, we hope you understand.

Other important news is that we have a new partner for the LiveTracking in Portugal. I have been in touch with Cristiano Pereira from the Portuguese company Flymaster (they make flying instruments) and they will be providing their new, state-of-the-art tracking devices. Contrary to the original supplier Flymaster actually has enough for all of us, but since the rent of the devices, and the data traffic, still costs some money I will not insist that you take one - I will only appeal strongly :-) Participating in the LiveTracking costs 20EUR for the week, and it makes it both safer for you, easier for the retrieve system, and more fun for those at home wanting to see how you're doing in the event!

Finally I would like to point your attention to the partner event, the Portuguese XC Open taking place in Castelo de Vide in the week prior to the Nordic Open. The organisers there have promised to arrange transport from Castelo de Vide to the Nordic Open for those pilots interested in flying both events.

I look forward to welcoming you all in Manteigas in June,

Best regards from

Mads S, Meat Head
